Above and beyond are available for extra purchase.  Class size is limited to 4. Precious Metal Clay Experience

Learn how to transform clay into metal! In this class, you will get to roll, texture, dry and fire silver precious metal clay (PMC). We will be making small designs, like earrings or pendants, and using the torch to fire them during class. You will get to walk away with your very own one of a kind jewelry piece ready to wear or use as elements in a larger jewelry piece!

What is this magical material? Precious Metal Clay is made up of fine metal particles that are mixed with a water-soluble, non-toxic organic binder that burns off during firing. Firing can be done in a kiln or with a torch, and in this 4-hour class, we will be introducing students to smaller forms that can be fired using a torch.

We will cover how to prepare the metal, apply enamel, and experiment with firing time to impact surface patterns. This technique is the easiest, fastest and most affordable way to enamel on metal without a kiln!
