In this 18-hour course, you will move beyond the basic bezel-set stone or flat plain to explore a variety of stone settings (tube, flush, bead, prong, and claw-settings, etc.), while also incorporating more dimension into your design flow. Depending upon everyone’s unique design needs, you may learn simple hinged, soldered, wire-wrapping or riveted options to co-join your segments. The goal of this class is to explore a new setting techniques or to expand your bench knowledge. Students will incorporate these newly acquired techniques working with metal and stone into one or two cohesive piece (pendant, ring, pin, or earrings).
